UFC President Dana White, who has repeatedly called Bruce Lee the ancestor and father of mixed martial arts, spoke out about the legendary actor and popularizer of Chinese martial arts.
“Let’s start with the impact Bruce Lee had on martial arts and American culture,” the organization’s head said at a press conference in Las Vegas. “Against the background of all these conversations about racism that are being conducted now, it would not hurt to recall how racists treated Asians at that time. They considered them weaklings, but Bruce Lee denied this opinion. ”
“Be it white, black, Asian – every person on Earth has a poster with Bruce Lee on the wall. I think I do not know a person who would have a greater influence. Not to mention the fact that he died in the early 70’s, and the children in 2020 know who Bruce Lee is ”
Note that in the introductory scene of the cult film “Dragon’s Exit”, which was released in 1973, Bruce Lee fights with gloves with his fingers apart, uses punches, kicks, throws, and finishes the fight with a painful technique, as a result of which the opponent signals a surrender.
