A month after losing to Kamaru Usman at UFC 251 in Abu Dhabi, UFC No. 4 welterweight, Jorge Masvidal, is confident he has done enough in a title match to claim an immediate rematch with the reigning division champion.
“Six days, twenty pounds. Flew to Vegas, then to Abu Dhabi. Fought with the champion. Damaged him by shutting him out of combat for a minute. I’m ready to repeat. It’s time to move the division forward. Your move, “Masvidal wrote on Twitter, referring to Usman and the UFC.
Recall that Masvidal took the fight with Usman on a weekly notice, replacing Gilbert Burns, who was retired due to a positive test for coronavirus, and lost to the reigning champion by unanimous decision after five not very spectacular rounds.
