Former UFC bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, who over the past weekend brought his career back on track after three early defeats in a row, expects to have a third bout with TJ Dillashow, who is serving a suspension for using illegal substances.
“Yes, I would like to end these defeats,” Garbrandt quotes MMA Junkie. “We all know what he was sitting on. We all know what he was doing. Unfortunately, he managed to cheat USADA for quite a while ”
“Now he is serving a sentence, and he will have to live with it all his life. Every time his son looks at him, he knows that his father is a con. The whole world was equal to him, including young guys, and this is very sad. Partly I feel sorry for him. He was so insecure that he had to use illegal substances to be a fighter. ”
Last March, 34-year-old TJ Dillashow left the UFC bantamweight title after receiving a notification of an anti-doping policy violation. Later, the US Anti-Doping Agency announced that the fighter will be suspended for two years for using the erythropoietin hormone. Dillashaw will be able to return to the octagon as early as January next year, and as the fighter himself claims, the organization’s leadership guaranteed him an immediate title chance.
Recall that TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt met twice in the octagon, and both times Dillashaw knocked out the former sparring partner.
