Eight days after the successful defense of the featherweight title, the current UFC champion in two weight classes, Amanda Nunes, announced that she could end her professional career as a fighter.
“I achieved everything I wanted,” the Brazilian said in an interview with Esporte Espetacular. “I am in perfect order, and perhaps ready to take the next step – to search for talents, help young girls … maybe become a coach”
“Now is the moment when I can resign, but I can continue my career. I have nothing more to do in the divisions. I’m sure that I secured a place in the Hall of Fame. Life goes on, and if I decide to stop now, the UFC will fully support me and provide me with work so that I can earn a living. ”
On June 6, at the UFC 250 in Las Vegas, Amanda Nunes defeated Felicia Spencer by unanimous decision, becoming the first fighter in the organization’s history to defend both titles as a double champion.
